Over the past 10 years, James has provided consulting services and legal advice to individuals and organizations on issues including conflict resolution; process improvement and policy development; program design and implementation; human resource management; design and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; labor and employment investigations; contract and litigation management; minority recruiting and retention; and management of strategic partnerships and alliances. James has also presented at Employment Law Seminars, Lawyer CLEs, National Workplace Training and Development Seminars; local and state governmental agencies; and business groups. James received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Morehouse College and his Juris Doctorate from Georgetown University Law Center. James served as a judicial law clerk to a United States Magistrate Judge; taught courses at Hamline and the University of Minnesota Law Schools; worked as a senior trial attorney with one of the largest law firms in the upper Midwest; served as a top level executive and general counsel for a multi-million dollar non-profit organization; and served as Vice President of Operations for an event planning and entertainment firm. James has also served on the board of directors for various non-profits, churches, and legal associations.
