Darcy Grote has more than 17 years of experience in training, curriculum design, management, and organizational and team development. At ProGroup, she has focused her abilities on sharing the message of awareness and acceptance of all people, no matter their differences. An experienced curriculum designer and trainer, Darcy applies her knowledge in developing ProGroup's adult educational programs around topics such as diversity, communication styles, gender relations, and supervisory skills. It's tough to match Darcy's knowledge and skill in reaching all levels of employees, from factory workers to top executives. Darcy works with ProGroup's officers to audition and train ProGroup's expert team of consultant facilitators. She also facilitates ProGroup's Train-the-Trainer Certification programs, through which trainers at ProGroup's client companies learn the skills needed to facilitate diversity and inclusion training.
Before joining ProGroup, Darcy worked with new sales employees in preparing them to sell to and serve an increasingly multicultural customer base. She is also committed to increasing the multicultural skills of young people and volunteers her time to present ProGroup's video-based training program Flash Judgments in school districts across the United States. A former long-term ProGroup employee, officer, and facilitator, Darcy's knowledge and experience are unsurpassed.
Darcy holds a bachelor's degree in communications and psychology from the University of Minnesota, with additional studies in cross-cultural understanding. Always active, Darcy enjoys the parkways of Minneapolis on in-line skates and participates in sports of all kinds, recently completing the North Shore Inline Marathon.
