Miguel Valenciano is recognized nationally and internationally for his extensive work in the areas of organization development and diversity. He is a dynamic and energetic facilitator and trainer who has successfully worked in both the private and public sectors. Currently, Miguel is a master facilitator for various national and international training programs. Miguel has managed different grants at the national level in various long-term programs.
Over the last several years, Miguel has developed and facilitated training modules in several areas including developing learning organizations, addressing linguistically and culturally diverse issues, issues in diversity development, culture competency, and issues of personal responsibility and accountability. His unique training style and use of hands-on strategies ensure that all participants are engaged and contribute to their learning. Miguel's easy-going personality and responsiveness make his training sessions unique and rewarding learning experiences.
Besides the United States, Miguel has worked in extensively in Central and South America, Switzerland, Canada, Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, Belize, Guam, Saipan Island, Rota Island, Tinian Island, Republic of Palau, States of Micronesia and the Republic Marshall Islands.
Miguel is bilingual in English and Spanish, and is versed in Italian. He holds a Masters Degree from the University of Oregon and a Bachelors degree from the University of Costa Rica. His personal interests include traveling abroad, snowboarding, and cross-cultural experiences.
