Derek "Duck" Washington
A man of many talents, Derek "Duck" Washington fulfills many roles at Novations. Duck handles various administrative and operations tasks for Novations' staff and clients, ensuring that each one receives the attention required to exceed the requestor's expectations. He provides support to members of the project management team in all that they do to ensure that every Novations client receives the best service possible. In fact, many of the tasks around the office that have no other assigned home end up in Duck's capable hands.
With a Bachelors degree from the University of Minnesota, Duck is an audio designer, DJ, and actor. In fact, Duck first joined Novations as an actor in our theater troupe, ProGroup Players. Having appeared in many local productions at theaters including Theatre in the Round and other small theaters, Duck has also done audio work for the world class Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis, as well as Park Square and Penumbra.
A warm and engaging personality, Duck enjoys working with children and has facilitated programs on social skills for kids. A busy local actor and audio designer, he sits on the Board of Directors of the Cromulent Shakespeare Company and works both in front of and behind the curtain in dozens of productions each year.
