Sumiko Meyerhoff was born in Japan and moved to the United States 13 years ago. In Saitama, a city adjacent to Tokyo, Sumiko met and married an American software engineer who brought her to the United States and an entirely new and different culture. In addition to the multitude of challenges presented in her new country, Sumiko's husband's family is Jewish, making her lifestyle truly multicultural.
With an Associates degree from the University of Toyo, Sumiko's first job in the United States was in a Japanese restaurant and then in an assembly plant. She then put her excellent language skills to work in a firm that translates documents from English to Japanese. Sumiko joined ProGroup in 2002 and since then has shown the versatility of her skills and applied them to many areas. Always willing to lend a hand and eager to learn, Sumiko has touched every area of the company, first with ProGroup greeting clients, vendors and guests at the front desk and running the logistics functions, to supporting all the functional areas of Novations through deployment.
