Sharon Bueno Washington has more than 25 years of management and consulting experience in both the private and public sectors. As a training and organizational development consultant, Sharon is committed to developing strategies and programs in support of organizations and people on their journeys toward benefiting from diversity. As a trained mediator, Sharon is committed to supporting individuals in the successful resolution of conflict.
In pursuit of creating healthy multicultural communities, Sharon consults with clients in the areas of diversity and inclusion, leadership, and organizational change. She has worked with a wide range of clients including AT&T, Royal Bank of Canada, Beth Israel Hospital Boston, Harvard University, Seagram de Mexico, Intel Corporation, FleetBoston Financial, Harvard Pilgrim HealthCare, Nova Biomedical, Perot Systems, District of Columbia Office of the Attorney General, Deloitte, Justice Resource Institute, NSTAR Gas & Electric Company, Hewlett-Packard Company, Deutsche Bank, Microsoft, Abbott Laboratories, General Mills, and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
An important member of ProGroup's team, Sharon has worked as a senior consultant and facilitator with ProGroup since early 2001. She is also a partner in a firm that, in addition to providing consulting and facilitation services, has a number of publications including The Male/Female Continuum: Paths to Colleagueship and Sexual Orientation and Identity: Heterosexual, Lesbian, Gay and Bisexual Journeys. Sharon is a contributor to the upcoming book, Journeys of Race & Culture: Paths to Valuing Diversity.
Over the last 14 years, Sharon has been a featured speaker at the Clemson University National Professional Women's Seminar and the National Conferences on Diversity at Cambridge College, where she shared her expertise on developing and implementing diversity initiatives. Frequently interviewed by renowned publications including The Boston Globe, Sharon has also appeared as a special guest of a leading talk show on Boston's WBZ Radio to share her insights on the effects of diversity training initiatives.
Sharon holds a Bachelors of Science and has studied at the undergraduate and graduate levels of several universities in Spain. She grew up in New York City and now lives in New Hampshire.
