Mary Beth Lamb brings to ProGroup more than 17 years of experience in intercultural communication and global human performance improvement and 20 years in global business and communications overall. She has helped businesses in more than 20 industries on five continents achieve peak performance and maximize return on worldwide business investment by developing global competency. In her position as a senior consultant, Mary Beth consults, facilitates, coaches, and speaks on global performance improvement issues including global leadership, worldwide sales effectiveness, high-performing virtual teamwork, cultural competency, and knowledge transfer across cultures.
Mary Beth served as Director of the Global Solutions Group and of the Global Effectiveness Group for Wilson Learning Worldwide after Wilson Learning acquired the intercultural training company she co-founded, Transnational Strategies, Inc. She co-authored the book Do's and Taboos Around the World for Women in Business and is currently writing a book on acquiring global survival skills to thrive in today's marketplace and another on virtual multicultural teaming.
Holding a degree in international communications and certificates in global leadership, globalization strategy, cultural competency, and conflict resolution management, Mary Beth is an adjunct faculty member at the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management's Executive Development center. Her specialty is Global Workforce Development. She has served on the faculty of several human resources and legal professional development associations and is a member of the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD), Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM), and the Society of Intercultural Education, Training, and Research (SIETAR).
Mary Beth has lived, worked, and traveled extensively around the world, where she learned to speak German, Spanish, and Portuguese.
