It's Time to Make a Change

Change is the way of the world these days. We can't get around it. Whether you're talking large-scale change, like the state of the nation or world, or something smaller, like how my personal world was rocked last year by the birth of twin boys, change is a part of our lives. Here at ProGroup, now (or soon) to be known as the Minneapolis office of Novations Group, Inc., we've been going through changes as well.

My goal in writing this email is not to tell you about the merging of ProGroup and Novations, or tell you the great opportunities this merger will create. You'll hear about those changes soon, if you haven't already. Instead, my goal is much more specific. I would like to tell you about a change that affects this newsletter, and I'm excited to tell you about the new Novations enewsletter you will start receiving in the coming months.

ProGroup's newsletter has been a mainstay for more than half of ProGroup's existence. Once a hard-copy mailer, it has always provided depth and insight on hot topics in the world of diversity. When the newsletter switched to an electronic format, we were able to reach people faster and offer more timely tips about what's going on right now in our clients' workplaces. From Karen's reflections after her broken collar bone to Myrna's series on the December Dilemma/Dialogue, the newsletters have been something to look forward to every month.

Since all things do indeed change, this will be the last of the ProGroup-style enewsletter you receive. Starting in June, we'll unveil the new Novations newsletter, ViewPoint. It will contain the same depth and insight you've come to expect, written by, perhaps, a few names that will be new to you as Novations leadership begins to contribute.

ViewPoint will also contain information from each of Novations key areas of focus: Diversity, Engagement, and Development.

Diversity: exploring concepts for helping organizations select the best people with the right skills for the right job from increasingly broad and diverse talent pools.

Engagement: discussing practical strategies that organizations, managers, and individuals can employ to engage their employees one by one and create an inclusive environment where all can do their best work.

Development: focusing on optimizing development and key concepts to increase the influence and impact that both employees and leaders have on the success of the organization.


We'll discuss all topics through the lens of the Capacity Building mindset: the belief that every employee has the potential to grow and develop. One other change is that ViewPoint will be distributed bimonthly as opposed to the current monthly distribution of the ProGroup enewsletter.

I'm excited to be a part of this change. Of course, if you would rather not receive ViewPoint, you can unsubscribe below. We appreciate your readership, and I hope you will enjoy what we have in store.
